Loving Hearts Outreach Christmas Program

To participate in the Loving Hearts Outreach Christmas Program, a client must provide all of the following documentation and meet LHO’s program guidelines.

Applicant must be a resident of Franklin County, Missouri, or live within the Washington School District Area.

A client may only apply for one Christmas Program per year per household. LHO does coordinate with other agencies and will detect if duplication exists. If this does occur, LHO has the right to deny the client’s application.

The following must be provided to participate in the LHO Christmas Program:

1. Client must apply in person at Loving Hearts Outreach, 1902 West Main Street, Washington MO. Client must complete an application for energy assistance at that time.
2. Valid Missouri Picture I.D. on each adult member of household. This is anyone 18 years or older living within the home, whether related or not. If a person is listed on bill that is no longer in home, proof of current residence is needed, this can be either a lease agreement, a mortgage receipt or an electric bill in that persons name for current address.
3. Proof of one full month’s income on each adult member of household 18 years or older. This must be the month prior to applying for assistance. Proof of any other income to household including Grants, Foster Care and/ or Adoption Subsidies, and Child Support must also be provided. Documentation on child support must be provided by all single parent households. The following will be accepted as proof of income:

a. one month’s paycheck stubs
b. Documentation on company letterhead stating the number of hours worked per week and the amount paid per hour. This must also contain the name of the client, and a phone number and contact person for the company.
c. Most recent SSI, Social Security Disability Benefit Statement and/ or Social Security Death Benefit Statement from the Social Security Administration.
d. Documentation that client is currently registered at Missouri Career Center (this must be turned in for each client that has no income from work or Social Security).


Please remember that if any information changes (phone number, etc…) from your application, it is completely up to you to inform our office ASAP. If our volunteers can not reach you at the number given on the application, you may not receive the assistance.

When Christmas gifts are ready to be picked up, the applicant will be notified. A date and time will be given as to when gifts should be picked up Items can ONLY be picked up by applicant, and picture I.D. is required.

These gifts are all donated and can not be returned to stores. If it comes to the attention of Loving Hearts Outreach that this has occurred, further assistance through this program may be denied.
